We have the two Working Parties on Saturday 8th and 22nd from 9.30 until 2pm. These give the Club an opportunity of getting housekeeping and maintenance items out of the way in preparation for the season. No particular skills are required other than a willingness to ‘muck in’ with whatever needs doing from general cleaning and painting to strimming and general tidying up of the dinghy park. This year we need specifically to sort out the mooring lines and fender to the main jetty and so we do specifically require assistance from those with power tools and who may have worked on the jetty previously. For new Members who joined during 2013 this is a great way of meeting other Members and a bonus for all is that hot soup and rolls will be provided. This year as certain tasks are best suited to milder weather a further Working Party will take place on Saturday 10th May when the Men’s Changing will be tackled in advance of the Gilmer Trophy event.
